Episode 04: Clothing Options

Finding good looking clothes that actually fit has been a nightmare for years. Back in the day, I would shop off the racks at stores like Sears, JCPenny, Ross, and others because I could go to the clearance area and buy “good enough” clothes. AKA, clothes where the sleeves weren’t long enough and the body was too thick. Less than two years ago, one of these department stores were having a “going out of business sale” and I capitalized on it. I purchased 4 dress shirts, all 4xl, for approximately $15 each. I then took all of these to my dry cleaners and had him tailor it down to actually “fit” me. While I do not regret this, the tailor charged a total of $185 for all four shirts. This brought my total to $245 approximately, all to be able to wear 4 dress shirts. I felt like it was the best I could do.

My brother came home one day claiming he found a website for tall people at reasonable prices. My first thought was, “sure, but the quality is probably sh!t.”

I was wrong. As I type this, wearing my AmericanTall pants and Doubs sweatshirt, I feel like my $60 pants and my $95 sweatshirt are worth every penny. The quality from Doubs is incredible. The durability of AmericanTall is more than fair. While I have torn a pair of my AmericanTall pants, they are currently in cleaners getting patched up. My old pair of pants from Old Navy tore so bad, it was more comical than embarrassing. At least the tear in my AmericanTall pants can be fixed with ease.

A new website I plan to order from this weekend is called 6ft Physique. While I can not discuss their quality yet, I feel it was fair to share for anyone looking for classy workout clothing that fit. I hope to share more in my podcast when I record this episode.

There you have it. Between these three websites, you can find dress clothes, casual clothes, workout clothes, and more at reasonable prices. Please feel free to reach out and share your thoughts, successes, purchases, and more!
